Sell Your Jet

Zero Money Down, Zero Risk

The JLA Difference

What to Expect:

Before Signing: We'll spend 2-3 phone calls getting to know one another, answering any questions you have about the market and the process to ensure you have all the information you need to make an informed decision.

Listing Your Jet All you need to provide is: photos (which we'll schedule), maintenance reports, individual highlights & a brief history of your jet.

FAQs

Pricing a Jet depends on a lot of factors: airframe time, engine time, avionics,  overall physical condition of the aircraft, history, etc. However, each listing receives a thorough vRef valuation as well as comprehensive market reports to give you an understanding of where your jet sits in the marketplace.

How expansive is your network? Do you have a list of the last 100+ buiyers who are actively looking for your model Jet?

Listing your own jet sounds like a good idea, but you have to ask: “What is your time worth?” Do you have the time to handle calls at all times of the day? Are you interested in qualifying every single call?

Sales is our job. We are commited to selling your Jet and representing it 24/7, unlike a pilot or management company that may have other duties.

At the same time, we love to work with your current team of pilots, mechanics, lawyers, etc. We value collaboration and together we will create a power-team to ensure the process is as smooth and hassle free as possible without wasting time or costing you extra money.

At JLA we value relationships. Sure, we want to get your jet sold ASAP and for the best price, but we believe the best way to do that is through a partnership of mutual trust. An “exclusive” agreement between an agent and a seller represents a mutual understanding that both parties’ futures are intimately connected and that means we’re going to do everything necessary to ensure a professional, ethical, and successful sale.

If for some reason you’re concerned about the term of the listing agreement, just say something! Depending on market conditions, it may be appropriate to change the term of the listing. On average, however, most business jets are staying on the market for AT LEAST 120 days unless they are extremely aggressively priced.

After years in the industry, we’ve discovered there’s a buyer for every Jet, at the right price. Given your Jet’s unique “history”, it may take longer to find the right buyer, and in these circumstances much will have to do with appropriate pricing, but rest assured we’ve sold parts planes, planes with missing documents, and planes with holes in them!

We get paid when YOU get paid. In fact, we start investing thousands of dollars at the outset of the listing agreement to get professional photos and get your Aircraft listed on all the major marketing platforms for business jets.

This is not uncommon! What we have found works best is that you inform your potential buyer of your intent to list the aircraft for sale with a broker to encourage him or her to act! Depending on how serious the buyer is, we can even write them into the contract as an “exclusion” where by the commission can be reduced if someone you’ve already engaged with ends up buying the aircraft. This way, we can still aid in the processes making sure all the proper steps are taken, and serve as a buffer between both parties (particularly helpful if you are friendly and something goes south).

My experience with Tom at Jet Life Aero was outstanding. Understanding that this industry has a tremendous amount of individuals/brokers that have questionable values, my guard was up. The experience with Tom actually helped me to believe that there are good people in this specific industry after all. After looking at multiple aircraft, we wrote on 3 over a period of a couple months. The experience, professionalism, and calm demeanor of Tom is what got the transaction over the finish line. If you are buying an aircraft, I would highly recommend getting Tom in your corner, be happy to pay his fee, depend on his knowledge, depend on his resources, and don't be afraid to ask questions. I will absolutely use Tom in the future and would highly recommend to anyone!

Tom went above and beyond with the sale Of my Citation 500. Every step of the way was handled with professionalism. After a not so pleasant transaction with a broker from Florida I was hesitant to do business with anyone from that state.

Tom restored my faith in people that are in the aviation brokering business. Thanks, Tom!!!! You're the man.

I had been looking for a Cessna citation Eagle II for some time and was not having much luck finding one on the normal websites. Tom found me one off market and took care of me through the whole process of the prebuy and closing. I subsequently use Tom to buy a bonanza G 36 that I had found his service was so good I wanted a second set of eyes on the buying process and he earned every penny. Tom continues to give me a good service and help me with things even after his fees have been paid.

I would not hesitate to recommend Tom to help you navigate the process of buying any airplane. I now consider Tom a friend & trusted advisor.

I have done business with Tom for the past 3 years; having sold 3 planes with him and will continue to partner with him in the future. Could not say enough nice things about him. Genuine, family guy who goes out of his way to look out for the best interests of the client. Business partner and friend - I had the honor of teaching him how to fly and get his Private Pilot Certificate.
